    This will hurt...

Good morning, a new page is up here.

My day job is near completion for this half of the year, and I am about to start my rather needed 3 month hiatus. Short of two or three weeks work on other jobs (including one stint on a project which I am incredibly excited about) I intend to use to time to relax, read, relax, write, relax and, well, relax.

Lots of plans for series' new and otherwise, big plans for Hero Code, plans for Omnitarium... it should be a fun break!

See you all back here on Sunday for the next installment.

    And here we are...

Good morning, a new page is up here.

We are one episode away from completing chapter 3, so be sure to come back on sunday to see how this part of our story ends.

I'm in the middle of working on Hero Code, and have been neglecting the Omnitarium universe a little, but rest assured, I have plans for the future!

Be sure to check out the Hero Code website for a sneak preview of the cover for issue one, featuring amazing artwork by Drew Johnson. The book is on course to be finished in time for Long Beach Comic Con in October.

Have a great rest of the week, and see you all back here on Sunday!

We should get out of here...

Good morning all, a new page is up here.

The first of the new year.

2010 proved to be a fantastic year for me, so I'm hoping to keep some of the momentum built in that year up, into this one.

Myself and the other members of the Samurai crew will be in attendance at the Amazing Arizona Comic Con next weekend. Previewing the first issue of the anthology book, doing sketches and touting our wares. I'll have all four issues of Omnitarium in print at the show. Feel free to drop by and say hi.

I'm resolving to focus more time and energy on Hero Code in 2011. The site still remains relatively soft, but I will be focussing more on this as we come to the end of Omnitarium. Plans are afoot with the series as a whole, and I will be posting more news as and when I have it, but expect more life over there around the end of March, beginning of April.

I will also be previewing and suggestion more indie titles at on my blog. My plan is to stay away from Marvel and DC for all of 2011, and instead work on finding some great indie titles during this year. If you are the creator of a title, or know of a great published indie title, feel free to let me know, either here or on the blog.

Have a good day, all, and see you back here on Thursday for the next installment!

    Hsssskk!

Good morning all, a new page is up here.

I've been planning what to do with the series as a whole, thinking about how to collect the book. One idea, from a discussion with Karl Altstaetter, is to have the book printed on a slightly off white, or yellow paper, giving the book an antiquated feel. It could be split into chapters and broken by manuscript inserts. Each insert could be from a different character - doctor's reports, diary entries, newspaper articles. Giving the book a slight gray spotting would also be the plan.

Again the idea of colouring the book entirely has also cropped up. The factor here is cost, of course.

If any of you have an opinion on this, feel free to leave feedback in the comments section.

In other news, I have booked my flight to the Amazing Arizona Comic Con - where I and my fellow Samurai GN creators will be unveiling the first issue of that book.

Also, work on the Hero Code is currently being rethought, following the release of Dark Horse Comics one-shot entitled The Occultist. You can read more about it here.

How long have you been here?

Good morning all, a new page is up here.

We are busy finalizing all the art and pages for the Samurai OGN project - please help us spread the word about this one - it's going to be a beautiful book (see previous post).

I'm also working on a preview issue of The Hero Code, which should be ready for the Amazing Arizona Comic Con, next January, 2011. The art work has been great so far from all the people involved. We will have a full 22 page chapter of the story, The Coming of the Occultist - with art by J.C. Grande.

There will also be a 6 page preview of the story, The Menace of the Mannequin - with art by Jonathan Rector.

And that's not all, there will be a 3 page preview of the story, The Theatre of War - with art by Dan Smith.

All three stories take place in the Hero Code universe. Along with these there will be some design art work, and hopefully a cover by Drew Johnson!

    I will keep you posted.

For now, enjoy the next page in Chapter 2 of Omnitarium - we are nearly on to Chapter 3. If you are reading along, feel free to leave comments, or sign the Guest Book - all feedback is appreciated!

    Have a great day.
